This discrepancy was identified by Brian Nally in late June 2009 and covered in his submission to the Coordinator-General in July 2009. Subsequent requests to City North Infrastructure for the Borehole APL06 which sits at the heart of this discrepancy have been ignored. It was only through Brisbane City Council in October 2009 that copies of the Borehole APL06 were finally obtained by the Community. This borehole log shows poor soil conditions at the depth of interest. The Community is currently seeking independent expert review. City North Infrastructure have told the Community they have copies of the Borehole APL06.
In the Wooloowin Worksite Modification Request for Project Change, a document produced by City North Infrastructure, on p38, there is a comparison of anticipated versus actual soil conditions. The following image shows this page with highlighted areas of interest:

The circled areas on the two graphs represent the same location in Borehole APL06. The anticipated graph shows no representation of the poor soil conditions which are clearly shown in the actual graph. Yet poor soil conditions are shown at that depth in Borehole APL06.
The type legend shows light grey as SILTSTONE / MUDSTONE. In the actual conditions the section at depth 36.4m - 38.0m of Borehole APL06 corresponds directly with the light grey SILTSTONE / MUDSTONE type. This is not the case in the anticipated geological conditions, despite exactly the same information in Borehole APL06.
We are trying to determine from City North Infrastructure when the anticipated graph was created, on what basis and who by.
The following diagram show an enlarged view of Borehole APL06 in the anticipated graph:

The kharki colour with vertical slats shown in the above diagram matches directly with depth 36.4m - 38.0m in Borehole APL06. This area in Borehole APL06, which we recently received from Brisbane City Council, shows soil containing MUDSTONE at this depth. This is show and highlighted in an extracted page from Borehole APL06:

It certainly looks like BrisConnections, Thiess John Holland and City North Infrastructure knew, or ought to have known, of the poor soil conditions MUCH earlier than they claim.
