  • Why on p11 of the Coordinator-General's change report for the Wooloowin Shaft does he not explicitly declare the financial benefit to BrisConnections / Thiess John Holland (the "consortium") of approximately $37 million?
  • Why on p11 of the Coordinator-General's change report for the Wooloowin Shaft does he not include justification for his claim about negative impact on communities at current worksites - especially in the context of his knowledge of pain statistics presented by a residents delegate to him and his knowledge of a motion passed by the Kedron / Gordon Park residents declaring they support an extension in their area to avoid the Wooloowin Shaft?
  • Why is it that that City North Infrastructure (CNI), a private, fully State Government owned and directed company set up specifically for the Airport Link project has been imputed State Government powers whilst abgrogating State Government transparency in terms of Right To Information?
  • Why the shaft - why not just start tunnelling from the main Kedron site? Maybe BrisConnections just want Rose St for haulage and an expansion of the AirportLink operational design and construct footprint.
  • Why were BrisConnections and TJH allowed to enter a fixed price and fixed cost contract when the underlying geology was not well understood?
  • Was BrisConnections and their contractor Thiess John Holland aware of the poor ground at Kedron when the project was originally tendered?
  • Did City North Infrastructure or BrisConnections know of any alternatives sites, such as the proposed Wooloowin Worksite, early on in the piece which they kept non-public.
  • Why all parties are claiming the project will come in on time when all indicators point to it being late. Where is the transparency - from BrisConnections, City North Infrastructure and the State Government?
  • What measures were taken to ensure sufficient geotechnical analysis?
  • Why City North Infrastructure act like a private company but are fully State Government owned and Directed?
  • Why do City North Infrastructure believe they are not subject to Right To Information? Why do they refuse to provide requested relevant information to the Community for the Wooloowin site proposal?
  • Why requests to Main Roads in regard to properties in the area are forwarded to City North Infrastructure where they are never responded to?
  • The Premier Anna Bligh appeared on the channel 7, 6pm news Saturday 11 July 2009 and when interviewed, regarding the People protest of the proposed Wooloowin 42 metre shaft for the Airport Link tunnels, it is recorded as the Premier saying, 'that is unfortunate for the people in the area, but it was going ahead'. This statement: 'that is unfortunate for the people in the area, but it was going ahead' and the previous undeclared free Sydney mansion holiday raises concerns regarding probity issues. It should be noted that the Sydney mansion is owned by former federal Labor minister and Thiess director Ros Kelly.
