14 September 2009 Motivation for Wooloowin Shaft Research indicates the Proposed Wooloowin Worksite will allow BrisConnections to pocket millions of dollars. Should the delivery be 6 months early this figure would be at least $72 million. Beautiful Wooloowin up for private sale. It appears there may have been options other than the Rose St site, including options from existing sites, however BrisConnections and TJH saw the greatest financial gain in the Rose St option and dressed it up accordingly [ READ MORE ].
28 August 2009 Panel of 9 Residents meets with the Coordinator General A panel of 9 residents met with the Coordinator General (Mr Colin Jensen) and his staff on Friday, 28 August 2009. This panel consisted of residents who represent communities from Kedron, Toombul and Wooloowin. This panel gave a presentation, read letters and discussed the Proposed Wooloowin Worksite and Conduct of the Airport Link project to date. The meeting was a forum to communicate directly our grave concerns to the Coordinator General.
26 August 2009 KWRA representatives attend SOS4031 Public Meeting. The Kedron & Gordon Park Save Our Suburbs group SOS4031 held a Public Meeting at the Little Flower Church Hall at 7.30pm on Wednesday 26 August 2009. The turnout was in excess of 130 residents. The KWRA Secretary Greg Davis presented as part of the night's proceeedings. 18 August 2009 Kalinga Wooloowin Residents Association formally established. The Kalinga Wooloowin Residents Association Inc (KWRA) now is formally incorporated under the Associations Act. Prior to this residents, had been meeting weekly as an informal group referred to as the Kalinga Wooloowin Residents Group. This group has an active Committee of approximately 12 members. The formal incorporation of the KWRA lends more weight to its involvement in community activities such as working to prevent the proposed shaft.
