Thiess John Holland (TJH)
Thiess John Holland are the DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTOR for AirportLink project.

TJH JV stands for Thiess John Holland Joint Venture. It is a joint venture company established between Thiess and John Holland and is used in the AirportLink project.

Generally the workers on the street are TJH JV people or subcontractors.

Interestingly both Thiess and John Holland are fully owned Leighton Holdings companies.

So TJH JV is really just a Leighton Holdings venture.

Leighton Holdings is approximately 55% owned by Hochtief AG, a GERMAN COMPANY.

TJH JV entered into a fixed cost, fixed duration contract for the AirportLink project.

Here is a BrisConnection statement to the ASX reiterating this position in relation to TJH JV:

"All risk in relation both to time and cost for this work will be borne by TJH and not BrisConnections."
Then what is BrisConnections doing trying to sneak a shaft into Wooloowin?

Well, that would be where a bunch of bonus schemes come in to play. And possibly the involvement of people like Trevor Rowe.

There is publicly available information on bonus payments within BrisConnections for on time project delivery. Based on questions asked by SOS4031 and KWRA members at a meeting with CNI, BrisConnections and TJH JV employees on 19 August 2009 there also appears to be personal bonus schemes tied into management at BrisConnections and TJH JV for June 2012 delivery.

Russ Beynon is Construction Director for TJH.

Gordon Ralph is Project Director for TJH.
